Carla Marina Marchese, honey expert, beekeeper, educating people of all walks of life about honeybees and the culinary delights of artisanal honey, workshops.
Marina was introduced to the remarkable world of bees and honey when a neighbor invited her to tour his apiary. Smitten by the taste of fresh honey, Marina began keeping honeybees at her home.
She gave up her career as an international designer to become a full-time beekeeper and shortly thereafter, Marina launched her revolutionary collection of artisanal honeys under her own luxury Bee brand which she now sells to celebrity chefs, restaurants, and cheese & artisan food shops all over the country.
The launch of her honey was followed by the introduction of Marina’s Rossape honey-based skin care products.
A graduate of The School of Visual Arts, Marina’s credits also include studying honey tasting in Italy, training as a Honey Judge at the University of Georgia, certification by the American Apitherapy Society, and serving currently as the president of the Back Yard Beekeepers Association.
Marina serves as a consultant to businesses entering the world of beekeeping and honey harvesting as well as to restaurants, chefs, wineries, and cheese shops assisting in planning their honey tasting events and developing their pairing menus.
